If life was Facebook...
these are the moments I'd post a status about and then "like" it as well...
because I'm one of those people who would just high-five themselves :)
Sometimes, I get so caught up in trying to capture pictures
and details from a lot of the fun stuff that I do for the sake of blogging...
that I forget to just experience it.
So a goal of mine is definitely to take that easy,
to stop worrying about always having my camera on me...
I think I'll do these every Friday,
so that I can remember and relive all the great moments
that live so vibrantly in my mind
and not so much so on the camera screen!
these great note cards are from this generator.
You have such a nice blog !!
ReplyDeletethat's such a great goal! It's nice to actually live rather than worrying about catching a pic at the right time!

I totally agree. And good for you!!
ReplyDeleteafter blogging for four years my mind has always been on the "I should blog this" "I should take a picture for the blog" etc... Nowadays, I just relax and enjoy life and if I feel the need to blog about something I do, but I don't think about it too much. I see people tweeting/instagramming their way through their vacations and such. I often think "just enjoy your time!" because you don't need to share your experiences at that moment with everyone, just enjoy it for yourself and the person you are with.
such a lovely idea! i know what you mean about having the camera with you and thinking about taking photos all the time.

awww heart this!!! i agree sometimes it's super easy to get sucked into "OMGGG i need to twt this right now!" and it can really interrupt the time you are spending with your spouse/friends and even YOURSELF!!! i take photos out of habit.. but i make a point of twt'ing or blogging it when i'm home later and bored hehehe :p
ReplyDeleteSuch a lovely post! I agree - it's nice to experience the moment without worrying about posting an update/taking photos right away!

Great post, it really is hard sometimes to just leave the camera alone. I used to be really bad at this with concerts but I actually learned to just live in the moment...so much better that way.

Thanks for this post, I was just thinking the other day how much better some experiences could be if I was really living in the moment and keeping memories close to my heart instead of on the blog.
ReplyDeleteSo true...just experiencing a moment is so perfect. I think you should do this every Friday!!

I can relate to this on so many levels. Sometimes you just have to put the camera/iphone down.

such true words! I feel like that sometimes but I've made an effort to enjoy the moments more and not always run for the camera first thing :)
