Oh Hello, 2013!

Hello lovelies!

Is it just me or does it seem like 2012 was just two days ago or something?

(I kid, I kid.)

My New Year's Eve was typically wild:

I watched the LSU/Clemson game (called that upset!), and then came down with a pretty terrible stomach ache just as the countdown began.

So, I played Auld Lang Syne for my parents from my phone as I snuggled with my heating pad in bed as the clock turned midnight and then went to bed, listening to the perfectly stormy storm raging outside of my window. Crazy nights, right?

2013 has been pretty magical so far:

a hilarious lunch at BJ's Restaurant and Brewhouse (pizooooookies! does anything else in life really matter?) with my middle school/high school besties,

where we realized we've known each other for nine years.

what even. where did all the time ago?

and then, Stanford went and became Rose Bowl champions!

I'm so proud of our little Nerd Nation!

and THEN and then, this morning, I woke up bright & early for the Victoria's Secret Semi-Annual Sale (seriously, what is it with all of these holidays one after another? no, you don't consider this sale to be a holiday like I do?),

but found nothing. I visited Charlotte Russe on a whim,

and happily bought the very last mint bubble necklace in the store,

which the nice employee had to climb a few stairs to get off of a mannequin for me.

nothing says "new year, new me,"

than finally purchasing the trendiest necklace from last summer, right?
