The roommate and I have this very special tradition. It's called: we don't observe Finals Week. Or, more accurately - we spend the first half of Finals Week super de-stressing by either going to Los Angeles or elsewhere, or having out-of-town friends come and hang out with us.
It's effective! Once we get the fun out of our systems, it's time to get some hard work done, and it's worked very well so far. (Fingers crossed.) Winter Quarter Pre-Finals Weekend was no exception.
Highlights of the drive(s):
Yes, we did buy out all of the Tim Tam's in Cassandra's home Target.
And yes, we did attempt to Tim Tam Slam on the ride home.
And by "attempt," I mean - the milk carton top was too small for the Tim Tam's to fit. Fail.
Not pictured:
+ a game we made up all by ourselves -
connect two celebrities with the least amount of
"degrees" by using co-stars, ex's, etc.
Six hours to ourselves and what do we do
but talk about celebrities... So typical.
+ a very smelly stretch of road,
thanks to thousands of cows. (I guess, not a highlight?)
+ a stop at Starbucks for some much-needed macchiatos.
+ a beautiful starry night sky that felt oh-so-close
when we drove through the Grapevine
(A very windy path through the mountains.)
+ nearly luring out a hidden cop,
because we (secretly) yelled at him not to hide.
He wasn't after us, thank goodness,
but we won't be doing that anymore.
